Information for 6th grade World War II Project Jan/Feb 2014
Snapshot of Denmark Project:
This project is to be done in either poster or Travel Brochure format. The choice is yours; but it needs to be done well and include the following:
A map of Denmark-including major cities/landmarks/land forms
A hand drawn illustration-The Denmark Flag is very easy to draw; but must be colored accurately-colors have meanings in flags.
At least 15 interesting facts
You must use at least 3 sources for your project/at least 1 must be print. All 3 may be print if you choose or do not have internet access.
Grading will be as follows:
On Time------------------------------------------10 points
Neat---------------------------------------------- 5 points
Map-----------------------------------------------5 points
Facts----------------------------------------------45 points
Bibliography---------------------------------------15 points
Hand Drawn illustration----------------------------10 points
Self evaluation of project---------------------------10 points
There will be 2 other graded library projects in relation to Number the Stars.
Comparing numbers of causalities in various wars that the United States has been involved in
Using atlases to locate countries involved in WWII and which side they were on.
The bulk of the work on these 2 projects will be done during library time. please contact me if you miss class on the days we work on these projects.
Due dates for the above projects will be announced in class when the assignments are given.
